About the author

Dorene Meyers grew up in Lac Seul and Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Over the years she has lived in Winnipeg, Red Lake, Thunder Bay and in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Indiana. She is currently residing in Norway House, Manitoba. Dorene is a prolific author and writing instructor. A frequent contributor to Indian Life, her articles have also appeared in Wawatay and The Shantyman.
